With a colourfull and well animated program the 6th World Championships started in the Amphitheatre near the Coque facilities.

 

The officials together with the participating nations were marching in, accompanied by young hostesses wearing traditional luxembourgish middle age dresses.

 

Rosa Clemente has guided the audience through the ceremony.

 

Various artists created an interactive spectacle during the speeches of Maurice Bauer - representative of the City of Luxembourg, Thierry Wagner - Representative Ministry of Sports, Marco Aardoom - President of IFL.

 

After the welcome speech of Karlheinz Bührer, President of the IIA declared the Championships as Open at 20.15 o'clock.
